Product Description
Pre-stressed concrete strand (PC strand) is a high-grade, low-relaxation, 7-strand steel cord used in the reinforcement and strengthening of pre-stressed concrete structures. Because it is used in critical applications, this strand consists of high-carbon steel with a high tensile strength, manufactured to the highest quality standards to ensure its durability. PC strand is available in several different thicknesses, ranging between .25 inches and .6 inches in diameter.
PC strand is classified according to the number of steel wires in a strand: 2 wire strand, 3 wire strand, 7 wire steel strand and 19 wire steel strand. It can be classified according to the surface morphologyand can be divided into: smooth steel strand, scoring strand, mold pulling strand (compact), coatedepoxy resin steel strand.
